China-Kazakhstan base imported the whole row of cotton yarn for the first time

Recently, a 50-car container train full of cotton yarn imported from Central Asia arrived at the China-Kazakhstan logistics base successfully. The train was dispatched from Uzbekistan, entered through the Horgos port, and distributed to North China through the domestic trade railway. This is also the first time that the China-Kazakhstan logistics base has imported a whole row of cotton yarns, contributing to the steady growth of the port.
Chen Jun, manager of the production and operation department of China-Kazakhstan International Logistics Co., Ltd., said that under the support of new channels and new businesses, Lianyungang Port has continued to improve its international intermodal transport network, leveraged the advantages of land-sea intermodal transport channels, and gradually showed a new pattern of international hub seaports. International trains have also gradually shifted from the initial market-oriented cultivation and promotion stage to a high-quality operation track.

It is reported that the launch of the special train for imported cotton yarn is conducive to promoting Lianyungang Port to realize the “pendulum-type” east-west two-way convection transportation pattern. The business cooperation between Lianyungang and Central Asian countries plays a positive role in strengthening the strategic positioning of Lianyungang as an “international hub seaport”.

Since the beginning of this year, Lianyungang Port has made full use of the Khorgos-Lianyungang eastbound train freight rate reduction policy, relying on the port’s high efficiency, convenience, and perfect collection and distribution system, and cooperated with relevant logistics companies to open import trains again. In the next step, Lianyungang Port will further strengthen the business linkage with overseas customers and surrounding cities, optimize and integrate resources in multiple ways, give full play to its location advantages, and continue to expand the breadth and depth of its participation in the “dual circulation” inside and outside.
